Artist Bio

Jevaughn John, known in the music industry as V’ghn, is one of Grenada's most energetic and charismatic artists, songwriters, and producers. Born in Grenada, V’ghn grew up in a small community called Coast Guard in the parish of St Marks. He was influenced into music during his time in church, where his father played the bass guitar.

In his early stages, V’ghn started off singing as a duo with his close friend Kadeem Phillip, also known as Crouchy, before embarking on a solo career. At the age of 16, V’ghn placed 3rd at the Grenada Spice Mas National Soca Monarch Competition, becoming the youngest artist ever to place in the top three in a Caribbean Soca Monarch Competition with his first solo single, “Charge Up.”

In 2018, V’ghn placed third in the International Groovy Soca Monarch Competition in Trinidad and Tobago with his hit single “Trouble in the Morning,” a song that has been breaking barriers for Grenadian music. He went on to be crowned the Groovy monarch king in Grenada in 2019.

V’ghn has written for and worked alongside some of the most prominent musicians in the industry, including the late Dexter ‘Blaxx’ Stewart, who was a father figure and mentor to him, as well as Koshens, Christopher Martin, Skinny Fabulous, QQ, and many others. He has toured countries all over the world, including Japan, Dubai, and many states in the United States.
